Looking for help with anxiety? Counseling is an incredibly effective treatment for anxiety, and one I have provided since 2013. Anxiety is the number one reason for seeking counseling and is something we all experience in our lives. Anxiety can be a normal response to many of our daily stressors, but for many people anxiety becomes more severe and can get in the way of living the life you want for yourself. Sometimes anxiety can lead us to avoid responsibilities or cherished aspects of our lives due to fear that we will feel overwhelmed. Counseling can help you better understand how anxiety works and provide you with tools that empower you to live the life you choose whether or not anxiety is present.

Some areas of anxiety I specialize in:

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder  

  • Perfectionism and chronic self-criticism

  • Generalized Anxiety or Constant Worry

  • Social Anxiety and fear of embarrassment

  • Managing Stress (workplace stress, academic stress, relationship stress)

I am trained in I-CBT, a cognitive treatment for OCD that is a good alternative to ERP. If you’ve tried ERP and haven’t seen as much improvement as you’d like or couldn’t tolerate ERP, reach out and we can discuss if I-CBT would be a good fit.
